The name is Marc, born in 1961, and the Callsign is ON3PHP.
My Fix QTH is Maldegem (locator JO11re) located between Bruges and Ghent.

History

1970-1980
First contact with Ham radio in the late 70' beginning 80'. (SWL)
Was active on the 11 band (Shipname: Marconi)

2005-2009
Started a Local Internet TV station. (Media streaming - On-Demand)(Ended 2007)
Started a Local Internet Radio Station. (Ended 2009)

2010
Due to medical reasons I needed to stop work (since 3years) and got a bit isolated, so I got back to my old hobby, Ham radio.
Started the course end 2009 and passed the exam in March 2010.

Since I do some PHP programming and the Callsign I wanted was already in use the choice was quickly made, hence my Callsign ON3PHP.

Until now I was only active on the VHF and UHF bands, some Echolink work and some Hamsphere activity.
My goal for 2011 was; Start working, if need be /p on the HF bands.

So on the 19 Feb. 2011 I did my first 'in the field' /p setup.
Working conditions : 10watts into a 1/2 wave vertical dipole for 20 meters, about 2,5meters above the ground.
Made 3 QSO's (2 Voice, 1 PSK). A couple of days later I had the opportunity to be active for 2 days. Made about 30 PSK QSO's.
